tape keeps ejecting on its own

when turned on or off it don't matter the tape will just eject for no reason even when it is just sitting on the table. tried changing batteries seemed to stop at first but then started up again the next day. the camera is useless unless I can fix it. because it will eject even when u try to record something.would greatly appreciate any help
