Sale Camara SONY DSC F 717 used with problem with the CCD. If you know how to repair it maybe it`s a good opotunity

I sale my camera SONY DSC F 717 used. Two week ago it began to failed in picture mode, taken almost white pictures with horizontal rays. The Sony technical service told me I need to change the whole optical block because they assume the problem is the CCD that Sony announce in their web site as a manufactured problem, even that they don’t want to assume the cost to repair it . In Argentina is not a cheep device to buy so if you know how to repair it or maybe you can get the lens block in a good price, It’s could be a great chance to get a fantastic camera. El servicio técnico de SONY me dijo que debería cambiar el bloque óptico completo porque suponen que es una falla del CCD que SONY anuncia en su sitio web como problema de manufactura pero no quiere hacerse cargo del cambio. En Argentina me piden U$S 520 para hacer el trabajo. Si sabes como repararla y/o conseguís el bloque a buen precio, esta puede ser una gran oportunidad para tener una maquina fantástica.
