Sony PVW-2600 Error-09

Does anyone know what an error-09 message means on a Sony PVW-2600 Beta Deck? When I have the character switch turned on the error message on the monitor says that it has something to do with the motor being stopped. Can anyone help by telling me how to go about fixing this problem.
