is there any way to make it fix itself faster?

I have a JVC GR-D3OU. A few years ago, I took it to Niagra Falls, and it (obviously) got a little wet. Ever since then, sometimes a little message appears saying "Condensation, operation paused. Please wait." It lasts for hours and it won't let me do anything else. A friend of mine said that if you wait the message will go away. Well, i've been waiting. Is there anyway to make the process go faster, or how long does it take before the message goes away?
