we have the same jvc 42-inch plasma tv! and mine is turning off very often now! i have to unplug it and let it rest for a DAY(!!!) before i can use it again. And it doesn't take long (less than half an hour) and it goes back again!
so how's your plasma tv? did you get it fixed? Im really interested to know so that i may know what'll i do with mine. Thanks.

Just read your deal about your JVC and our unit is doing the same thing, had the repair over this morning. Told me it would cost $1500. to fix the problem, needless to say, I am tossing the unit out the nearest window. No more JVC products for this family.

I keep on emailing JVC Company and calling them every other day until they finally replace my plasma... Customer support is really bad.
That model PD42wv74 has a ratio of 1 to 4 that will go out on you.
Can not be fix, have to be replaced.
