Just Say No to JVC Posted Apr 15, 2006

Well surprize surprize!!! ... my 7 yr old JVC AV-32980 also experienced the same problem... Suddenly one day it stopped working. Drop dead...cold turkey...no response at all.

Tried your formula. Had a bit of difficulty in recognizing the C926 capacitor location & polarity as the manufacturer feel below their dignity to spell it out for the end users. The replacement capacitor had wires on either end, while the original had both on one end. Therefore, I had to place the new one in horizontal position. I did have to put the TV on its face to allow access to the motherboard to work. But it worked!!! My kids think I am a genius all because of you. But my wife deserves the credit as she did the google search and discovered your recipe. I can't believe that JVC has not stepped up to accept this defect in their units, which is ruining their name. As a matter of fact, JVC is black listed by my kids. So as you can see the impact is permeating through the generations!
