When I read about this "solution" I thought it's a joke. It is not a joke, it works, I am still trying to figure out how it can be possible to have it fixed by hitting the camera. the senosr is a electronic componnent how can it be fixed this way? It's a miracle but I am glad it works. I was so annoyed about the error you can not imagine, needless to say that I am very disapointed about this issue. Should not happen for a camera which was not used much.

I tried it, too. It works! I thought for sure it had to be some kind of joke but it isn't. Now I just have to wish that it will work for a long time without the Condensation error coming up again. Thanks for your advice & help!

I have a HDR-HC1E PAL. A had C:21:00. I did your trick and it worked !! - Remove the batteries - hit the camera with the open palm => it works.

It work for me too.

PS: I didn't have the same model camera. It is a DCR-PC6, but it also worked for that one.

Thanks. It worked for me too. had this problem for months. And now took off the battery, and gave a few light slaps on the bottom of the camera, put the battery back and it worked again. Thankssssssssssssssssssssss.
