F05 error is cylinder lock -- the head drum is not spinning. When a tape is inserted, the camera performs a self-check routine, spinning the drum and capstan motors to make sure they are working. Possible cause is a defective connection to the drum motor (small ribbon cable). The connection from the servo board to the drum may need cleaning.
