panasonic sa-dk10 5 disc dvd player has no sound on fwd speakers

anyone able to help? i need to know what to check, where to get a repair manual, troubleshoot flowcharts schematics etc. anyone have one available in a pdf? wheres a good place to find parts if its worth fixing. the 'sub' speakers left and right work. the fwd left and right are inop. i think its an amp as its across all parts of system ... radio, dvd, tape. in all modes of surrond etc. i really like this unit but i got a quote of $75 an hour to have a 'shop' fix it. seems kinda crazy as i bought it new for about $400. have the ability to do it myself as i have electronics background just not materials or vast experience on this type equipment. thanks- axgrndr
