HomeNeed Help with Display on my JVC GR-D71U digital Video Camera I have a JVC GR-D71U Digital Video Camera. I Loved it until it started giving me a "LENS CAP" message on screen and in view finder. It was wroking normal after I took the tape out and put it back in but only a few times. Now it seems that I get the "LENS CAP" message everytime I turn it on, but I don't have the lens cap on!!! I have charged the battery, changed tapes, been thru the manual thourghly and can't figure out what the problem is!!! It is starting to really frustrate me. Does anybody know what could be causing this and how to get rid of it???? Thanks, I appreciate the help and have a super day.

i have a similar problem and a black screen but mine is a gr d20 I too have the lens cap problem, not sure what is causing it. I dropped it once and had it repaired. After sitting about 6 months, I decided to capture 5 tapes I'd made. Turned it on this morning and got the lens cap message and both the screen and viewfinder are dark, although I do see camera messages like lens cap and the menus and stuff. What gives? I am having the same problem. It started a few months ago telling me my "lens cap" was on. I have done everything trying to figure this out. Please help......... |
