Install outdoor speaker for Existing Nutone System

I have a 2 year old Nutone system in a house I just purchased. The system is maxed out on intercoms and speakers. I would like to add a patio speaker with a volume control. Is there a way to hook this up in serial or parallel to an existing intercom room unit so that I can get the music out onthe patio ?
