Camera destroys tapes and LCD screen is upside down.

I have a Canon ZR70 camcorder which is about 3 years old and it has run into some problems. Whenever I put in a tape, it makes a beeping noise warning me of a problem with the tape. When I eject the tape, the roll has been pulled out from the outer casing. This happens within a few seconds of the tape being inserted. It also happens even when the camera power is off. Also, the LDC screen is showing the picture upside down and is screwing up with the inner smaller screen. Has anyone had a probelm like this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
