hi hope you were able to fix your lcd screen now i am also having the same problem. i bought another s40 because i liked it alot and it worked fine until i put the memory chip back in the camera i got the white screen on the second camera. i guess i got a virus, do you have any clues to share about the white screen or what ever happened to your screen. thank you roy
