I ahd the smae problem with my camera and found this on the web. Maybe it will help you guys out. let me know.. RESOLUTION The error occurs when the Digitizing Configuration Format fails due to an internal memory corruption. Reset the MX200/MX230's internal memory to factory default: 1. Remove any Smart Memory card inserted in the camera. 2. Replace the batteries, to ensure fullpower is available to complete the reset. 3. With the camera powered "Off", turn the dial on the camera to "Still Shot" mode (the Red camera icon). 4. Hold both zoom buttons down simultaneously, and continue holding them while you press the "On" button to power on the camera. 5. The camera should be in Test Mode. Press the delete button on the camera (designated as WB for Waste Basket). 6. Several options appear on the screen. Select #3 "Device Test" on the menu by pressing the down arrow button on the camera. 7. Press the shutter button on the top of the camera to execute the test. 8. When the test completes, turn the camera off. 9. The camera is now ready for use.
