How do I program A sony KV14 M1U without a remote control?

I inherited a sony tv KV14 M1U that doesn't have a remote control. It's working but the channels are all jumbled up i.e: BBC 1 is on 2 etc. I have an very very old sony remote from another tv but that just seem to operate basic functions. I can't even get teletext with it. Any suggestions would be most welcomed please. Thank you.
