Camera got wet

I was at the beach and placed my camera(Sony DSC-p200) in my beach bag. I had purchased two cans of iced tea and somehow one of the two cans sprang a leak and leaked onto the camera. I brought it home and hooked the power supply to it hoping for the best but all I get is the infrared to flicker as well as the lcd but that's it. My question is can it be fixed and would it be worth it, to fix it?
