camcorder fixes

Does anyone know how to open a jvc vhs compact camcorder GR-SXM920 to take a look at the lense? Mine was dropped and now it thinks the lens cover is closed and all I see thru the veiwfinder is a black screen. I dont hear anything loose inside if i shake it.
