Hello Joe, It was kind of weird finding your name on the internet. You will find this really weird. I used to fix intercoms at Broan. I am now the Product Manager for Indoor Air Quality Products, Powered Attic Ventilators and Ventilation Controls at Broan. The problem you are having is probably two-fold. Both within your outdoor speaker. The low volume is partly due to the speaker being degraded from the elements. The contacts on the switches are also corroded. You may want to get yourself a new outdoor speaker. Hope this helps.
