sony trv530 camcorder carriage will not shut. Tried camera reset options.

The original problem was getting a tape to eject. I reset the camera back to factory settings and got the tape to eject. Now I cant get the cassette assembly to close, with or without a tape. When I push to cassette door in to close the assembly it will not stay in. Any idea? It displays an c32 something error which says to reset the camera. The reset does not help.
