cybershot DCS-U30...taking and replaying pictures, but only records black...hmmmm....

we got this camera used and it's recording pictures- the lcd works, but won't work as a viewfinder, or play pictures. it only sees and records black. Otherwise it operates normally, all menus and buttons will display on the lcs screen. It has a memory stick. Please let us know if this can be fixed. THanks.
