JVC 36980 Problem Solved

JVC 36980 would not turn on, Purchased 2/17/1999

Fixed with same capacitor 1000uF 35V from Radio Shack for $1.59 and a sodering kit for $7.99. Hard part for me was moving the set. It weighs in at 153.6 lbs. Once I got it moved and removed the back and found the capacitor, unsoldering and soldering the new one in was a snap. Thank you all for this forum and posting your similar problems and fixes.

JVC service or questions Search the above topic on this forum and you will see the thread from others who have had the same problems and the descriptions on how to replace the capacitor.

i have the same problem with my jvc 36980 can you explain how to fix the prolem
