Sony S40 White Screen Problem

HELP - ANYONE with information on how to fix this non-manufacturing defect on my 6 month old camera - PLEASE SEND ME INFO - rsmclan@yahoo.com I can't find the files listed on this website anywhere - is this someting I have to pay for? I sent an email last week with no response - any information may save my camera before I leave on vacation this weekend.
