Homestatus is Protect and shuts off immediately. What can be done about this? I picked this stero up real cheap due to this problem. Is it a simple fix that I can do?

Solution to the problem for me was to remove power from unit (don't know that it matters), and when I plugged it back in, still got the "PROTECT" and shutdown. I tried turning it back on and held the power button in the "ON" position for about 10 seconds. Apparently that resets unit. I'm listening to it as I type this. I guess that JVC doesn't know this, although they did get back to me promptly. Good luck, I hope this works for y'all. AJ did you ever fix your jvc radio... the protect sign. its the relay-fuse or it could be.. hi, i have the same problem it display status and then protect and it turn off by it self please helpmi |
