My camera wont charge the replacment battery pack, Please HELP

replacment new battery charging problem I recently replaced the battery pack on my JVC GR-D20EK but it will not charge although the camera will work when it is connected to mains power. When I contacted the shop they said that it would have to be sent to a service centre and it will cost €150 to repair. Any help please Thanks Philip
