I need help

I've had my 27 inch tv since christmas 2004. The problem I've been having is I have only a line in the middle of my tv. After a few days the picture comes back, and I have no problem for weeks at a time. I don't use the tv a lot but when I do I have it on for 8-10 hours at a time. Trying to figure out weather to just have it serviced locally, or just learn to deal with this or just get a new one, Please advise and if possible tell me where to get it repaired locally, or somewhere within a 100 miles of my home.......Thank-you
