As this model is an analogue device you cannot transfer video into your computer without the PC having a analogue video capture card fitted. However, cost wise and for sheer convenience its much easier to transfer the video into a DVD recorder of the less costly "no frills" variety, and all you require for this is a simple lead with RCA (phono connectors) on one end, these usually (1) yellow and (1) black, these plug into the DVD recorders front input sockets, and of course the other end of the lead to suit the A/V output socket on your camcorder. Once you have the video transferred to DVD you can then use your PC to edit the video, that is provided you have an editing programme installed. (like Nero 6 or 7) and also a sizable spare capacity on your hard drive, as video can use up a lot of hard drive capacity.
