HomeERROR-21 message on BetaSP UVW-1800 My BetaSP UVW-1800 is showing an ERROR-21 after inserting a large format BetaSP tape and then "spits" it out. It only happens with the large formats....the small BetaSP record and play back fine. Anyone with an idea out there? Oh - by the way...yes - I cleaned the heads already.

You might try checking the cassette carriage. There are usually 3 flex wires that connect the inside carriage to the carriage frame. These wires tend to break inside the isulation after so many operations. Not saying that this is the exact cause of ypur problem, but it's worth checking. Cheers, Bob |
