Battery Problem

I have a JVC GR-AXM225 camera that has been used only a handful of times. Now when I try to use it with the batteries, it won't work. I've charged the batteries. The light on the charger indicates they are charged, but the camera has no power when trying to use the batteries. I am able to use it with the cord, but this is not always a convenient option.
