red timer light blinking and making a clicking noise...will not turn on

I have a 35 " JVC Model AV 35750...it just quit working and all of a sudden it started making a clicking noise like it was turning on and the timer light started flashing off and on....I noticed quite a few other people had this problem...has anybody come up with a solution... Thank you
