Switched from cable to air recently when cable was out - cannot get tv to switch back to true cable mode.

Recently after a huge ice storm the local cable company was out or a couple of weeks. I switched all my tv's including another JVC from cable to air - and use an external antenna. Now I cannot get this tv to recognize the cable signal at all - stays on blue screen. The cable hookup is fine because I've moved my smaller JVC into that room temporarily. Is there any way to reset this tv to factory defaults? Or am I missing something. Of course I've set the TV to channel 4 for the local cable - but it's like it's not recognizing the signal - or not truely swithing off the antennae. Any help wourld be appreciated.
