Does somebody have a circuit diagram of a m-audio device?

Hello folks, I'm trying to figure out a way to set up your own device to input audio data into your computer. I got the idea that maybe you would just be able to go ahead and build you own mobile pre that you have cut down to the gist you need and apply their drivers on your computer. So do you have any idea how to get a circuit diagram of a m-audio (or similar) device? best regards, and thanks in advance, winton
