Picture intermittantly goes on and off with a five flash blinking code

Video picture just started going off and on, 5 blinks on the red power light. Using the diagnosis access screen I get this message: Service VDSP VPOS 031 then on the next line: 0000 0 then: 0000 00 00. Any idea of what needs repair, what it should cost? Is there anything a non-repair tech, but semi intelligent person can do?
