Fault in my JVC GR-DVM1,

With my JVC GR-DVM1 when i try capturing after playing what i have captured, the screen gets blank and manual focus sign starts blinking in the LCD screen. Once i remove the battery for couple of minutes and put it back, my camera works fine.. can yup pls help me on this? Thanks
