JVC av in

Hello every one. I have a jvc d70 dv cam and I also have a helmet cam This is where it gets wierd If I plug the helmet cam in to the panasonic dv camera it works unreal If I plug it in to my jvc cam it works ok indoors but the picture is washed out and crazy as soon as I take it out side. If I plug the helmet cam in to the video in on my sony stereo amplifier then take the video out of the amplifier in to the in of the cammera it works propely??????? Whats going on???? I phoned jvc they said the cammera operates from 0.8 ~ 1.2v the helmet cam is supposed to be 1.1vpp Any suggestions would be great Thanks Jordan
