Tape stuck in video camera

I have a GRD90U video camera. I have a tape in it that I cannot get out following the usual procedure. I cannot play the tape or record on it either. Any suggestions (other than smash type) as how to remove the tape, and is it worth trying to get it fixed? Thanks
