Should I or shouldn't I buy a used Sony?

I was thinking of buying on of these 27"'s of Craiglist for $75.00 but I think these posts have made me change my mind. Does the number of hours the tv was used make the difference or just the number of years of the weld (7 seems like the magic number). (Class action won't work unless there is a boatload of comments to someone high up! We tried that with a Mazda transmission failure to no avail. Still waiting on the NTSB.)
