Battery problem

I kept my mp4 player to charge overnight. and the next day morning when i stooped the charging then the back shell of the player which covers the battery came out. So it is not starting unless i connect it to a computer or put it to charge. The battery(3.6 volts)bulged. Please help me in this matter.
