My cameras been goosed for 6 months. Finally found a repair shop - they took one look at it and said "£175 ($350) to fix it"...don't think so. Ready to buy a new one tomorrow until I tried this. Believe me it works (for now) Its 0100hrs right now and I'll just let the wife know the good news. This camera nearly joined my list of Sony C R A P merchandise. 36" TV - volume doesn't work via IR and $1000 DVD player with an error code I haven't found yet. God bless Sony, the next ones a Toshiba!
