Re: JVC GR-D370AG laptop connection failure

JB38 Posted Jul 29, 2007, in response to:Subhojit Saha

Although this is an old posting, any questions of this nature should really be accompanied by information on what software the PC is running on, Windows XP or Vista, and also if you have installed any JVC driver disc that is usually supplied with the camcorder, and finally what connection you are using into the PC, USB or firewire. As far as the PC not recognising the camcorder is connected, when everything is coupled up and switched on its sometimes only a case of switching the camcorder off, then on again, as this triggers the PC into knowing its there. The other aspect about this procedure is you must have some form of video capture software installed on the PC, that is unless you have installed the JVC driver which includes the capture facility.

My JVC Camera is not recognized by Win Xp when it is connected through the USB connection. I have installed the software that came wint the Camera that I`v purchased here in Cape Town. I have done all the above directions on the Previous page described and still not getting any success. The CD that came with the Camera only has the Software that can be installed on the Win Xp platform, there is no folder on the CD that have any drivers that i can instal sothat Win XP can recognize the Cam Corder. If it is posible can you e-mail me the relevant drivers for my Cam Corder sothat i can use it in Win XP platform. Regards Wayne
