Just received new TEAC GF-350 Multi music player/CD recorder for 33/45/78 rpm records. Tone arm skips and won't play.

Can't figure out how to achieve sufficient weight in tone arm to play 33/45/78 rpm records. It's so light that it skips across all three, without settling into the grooves. Manual gives no hint in Troubleshooting or elsewhere. There doesn't seem to be any way of adjusting the arm so it will play. Can anyone help?
