Repair Estimate

My daughter-in-law was using the camera on the beach and the lens will try to retract but cannot. A message advises to turn the camera off and back on. Perhaps a grain of sand of something is stuck in the mechanism. Can you please give an estimate of repair cost? I can now purchase a new one for less than $200.00. Thanks!
