JVC Tv repair capacitor, AV36985

hugh Posted Sep 21, 2007

Thanks for the tip about replacing capacitor--it works, but the remote doesn't work now, what did I do wrong?

Thanks for the advice about replacing the capacitor. I replaced it and it works now. it was quite a chore to wrestle the TV by myself. the remote worked before I took the Tv apart, now it doesn't any idea what I did wrong? Thanks

make sure the tv chassis went back in squarely - if it didn't, the remote sensor may not be aligned with the window in the front of the chassis. inspect the tv chassis circuit board in the area of the remote sensor to be sure that no circuit traces were damaged when the chassis was being slid in or out. check the reomte itself for bad battery, loose contacts, broken solder joints.
