Re: Sony KP-7220 TV and Screen

Robin G. Krause Posted Oct 28, 2007, in response to:Dan

Hi Dan, My KP-7220 keeps blowing the 125V 1.6 A fuse on its power supply board. I'm not sure if the power supply board itself went bad or if the problem is with another component in the unit. I guess it would be best to try another power supply board. Given that you are selling parts, would you still have this component available? As you may know, removing the shell cover (top and wooden sides slide up an off as one piece when screws and metal brackets are removed from the bottom) exposes the internal components. The power supply board can be seen in the front bottom part of the unit where the A/C cord comes into the chassis. The board is "yellowish" has a fuse (about a half inch long)on it and is labeled A1240 279-A 00. It appears that the leftmost the lens tube "gun" would have to be removed first in order to get to that board. (it looks like there are people out there looking for these lens tube guns if you are interested). Please let me know if you can make this power supply board available to me and at what price. Also, do you have a price for the entire TV unit? If so, where are you located? Thank you for your consideration. Robin G. Krause (Center Valley, PA) rgkprism@aol.com
