Worked fine one day the next it looks like the colors are bleeding together and we have two images

My JVC is about 5 years old, it was working fine one day then the next we had blurred vision called cable company they say the light bulbs are off and needed to be adjusted. Someone else told me it was the picture tube. Do you have any suggestions or what the cost might be to get it fixed or is it something I can fix myself?
