==== CORRECTION ====

That spark I mentioned in my post on the 7th, was NOT from the DVD player. The DVD player is located below the TV. I THOUGHT I saw the spark come from there. The spark came from the area of the power cord entrance into the bottom of the TV. I have taken off the housing. I have removed the plastic retaining clip that keeps the power cord from being pulled out of the TV and inspected that area. I have disconnected the power cord from the TV and inspected it. I am not able to find the source of that spark. I don't see any burned areas. Maybe that spark fried the circuit board. I am still trying to figure out how to reset and certainly open to any other suggestions. Thanks
