Sony kv-27S10 trinitron TV picture suddenly went black then flashed then shut off. Been dead since.

Bought it around 1996. Worked great for about 5 years then died in the middle of a show. Bought a Mitsubishi TV. Still Hanging onto the Sony, I'm in denial, hoping to find a solution. I know of a shop that if they can't fix it for 100.00 they wont charge you. They fix it and resell them if they can.
