The most valuable thing I ever learned on the internet

I've been dealing with this error on my Sony HandycamVision Hi8 video camcorder for years. I've been trying to transfer all of my video of the kids to digital media before it gave up the ghost. I was sure that the error was a sign it was ready to croak. When I saw the error code tonight, I though for the first time of googling for a reference. I was so surprised when I saw the proposed fix and then even more surprised when it worked. I read all the satisified people, but I still couldn't believe it would work until it actually did. My interm fix had been to take out the tape and put it back in. But that had stopped working recently. I whacked it tentatively at first and then with eager vengeance. Now I'm able to peacefully fast forward and reverse to my heart's content. Thanks for this wonderful fix.
