HomeError message says "Lens Cap" even hen cap is removed. Camcorder was purchased Sept 2004 and is used rarely. Upon completing charging today, we attempted to use camcorder and have error response "Lens Cap" even though the lens cap is clearly not on the camera. The camcorder records sound but no picture. Please advise how to proceed.

This is the well known manufacturing fault commonly called the "lens cap" problem which has had a free repair offer on running for about the last 30 months or so, however this expired at the end of 2007. As you have restricted your e-mail further pre-set up advice cannot really be sent, as it contains links which are blocked by Pechorins "text only" rule. |
