I need help with the remote, can not get thyis big black box off my tv ??????

I have a d-series jvc 32 inc just need some help kiddies playing with remote and now i have a big black box on the screen and it will not come off.Can some one help?? Even when you put a movie in dvd player can't figure it out and i am not happy about it! Please if anyone knows how to get the big black box off screen please tell me! Thank you!!
