HomeStandby flashes six times Puchased SONY KV36HS510 on October 2003. March 2008 TV attempts to turn on but doesn't. Standby flashes 6 times. Has any attempted to repair to find out the cost.... SONY help desk thinks it is the board.

Hey man...I'm having the same issue with my Sony (same model as yours). The repairman came over and said that we need both boards replaced and his quote was $450. I'm in Arlington, Virginia so the parts and labor are probably inflated so take that into consideration. I'm thinking that just getting a new TV might be smarter. Now I gotta figure out how to get rid of the TV...I think it weighs at least 300 pounds! Take care, Travis |
